#048 || Ben Halper || Grounded, Loving Presence: The Art of Holding Space Through The Veil with Alex Nelson

In this episode I sit down with my friend Ben Halper. Ben is the events coordinator for the Zendo Project, a Psychedelic facilitator, father, and one of my most valued resources for when I need genuine, honest feedback on a situation. We talk about his personal journey over the years with psychedelics, harm reduction, facilitation, and much more. You can connect with Ben at his website here: https://www.psychedelicpassage.com/book-a-call/ My microdosing guide can be found here: https://www.throughtheveil.co/post/a-dissertation-on-microdosing As always, you can find me on IG at www.instagram.com/alexanderdiesel On TikTok at https://www.tiktok.com/@alexanderdieseltv Check out my website at www.throughtheveil.co

Before the words “harm reduction” and “facilitation” were mainstream, Ben Halper entered the world of psychedelic care out of necessity. Now a Licensed Natural Medicine Facilitator and Zendo Project’s Event Services Manager, Ben’s work began on the east coast over a decade ago when he found himself supporting strangers in crisis at music festivals. Recognizing a critical gap in care, he connected with Zendo Project to deepen his training and bring harm reduction services to events.

In this episode of Through the Veil, Ben sits down with longtime Zendo Project volunteer Alex Nelson to discuss his journey with Zendo Project, the difference between peer support and psychedelic facilitation, and the lessons he’s learned on providing compassionate, attuned care.
