Veena Muthusamy-Flok, MBA
Director of Education
Veena Muthusamy-Flok, (she/her) holds a B.A. in Public Policy and Geography from Syracuse University and an MBA in Sustainable Systems from Presidio Graduate School. She comes from a long line of Indian farmers, and her early connection to land and community has always guided her path. Veena spent several years living in a land regeneration project in southern India, where she learned the beauty of communal living and grassroots initiatives.
She later brought this values-driven approach into the corporate world, leading global sustainability and social impact programs that encouraged companies to go beyond compliance and make decisions rooted in ethical responsibility.
Guided by a lifelong commitment to collective care—for people, the planet, and all living beings—Veena found her way to the field of psychedelic education, where she saw an opportunity to support healing at a deeper level. At Lykos Therapeutics, she helped grow the MDMA-Assisted Therapy Training Program, ensuring its expansion stayed grounded in integrity and accessibility.
She brings to the Zendo Project a love of systems thinking, community-building, and a deep belief in care as a form of collective liberation. Veena lives in sunny Sacramento, California with her wife, their two kids, and a joyful tripod pup named Goose.
